In 1910 Houdini made the first flight over Australia at Digger's Rest. Around the same time, a stanhope optical viewer was made in France to commemorate the flight. By peeking inside, one can view images of Houdini and his plane.
Using one of the original stanhopes as an example, a limited run of Houdini stanhopes was produced in brass. Inside of each viewer is a custom lens with a tiny negative embedded.
We have these available in two limited editions, standard and deluxe. The standard edition includes the stanhope viewer in a custom walnut case which has been etched with Houdini's autograph. Inside the case is a Martinka seal that was made using Houdini's actual press. Also included is a protective box and a numbered certificate of authenticity. From a limited edition of 225.
These turned out great and we are sure you will be pleased.
