Midas is a great coin trick for all levels of magicians. It's simple and sweet and my audiences love it as much as I do. The idea of being able to purchase more gold dimes and then giving one as a souvenir is a perfect way to help them remember you and your show. Lots of room for your own routines and stories too. Midas is just fun to perform. You start by taking some change out of your pocket. Included in that pile is a lucky gold penny. That penny then turns a quarter to gold and then a dime to gold. You can even leave them with the gold dime as a souvenir (but then you have to buy more gold dimes, which Martinka says will be available at some point).
This is one of those effects that you can take your time with and really let the visuals sink in. Another winner from Martinka. (Posted on 8/13/2015)
